Am related to Dowsetts of Stoke by Clare and am willing to exchange infomation with anyone researching same family.
Henry FROST of Stoke by Clare married 8 Apr. 1755 at Withersfield Mary COOT (bapt 2 Aug 1724 at Withersfield) He died 10 Feb. 1844 and was buried at Stoke. Their eldest son, Henry bapt. c 1756 m. 16 Feb. 1792 Kedington, Catherine PASK b.c. 1766 died 25 Aug. 1850 and buried at Stoke. Henry & Catherine's eldest child was Catherine, bapt. 29 Nov. 1791 at Kedington died 15 July 1881 at Stoke married 29 Oct. 1818 at Stoke Daniel PANNELL, farmer, of Boyton End, Stoke.They had many children and descendants. I have a photo of Catherine which was sent out to Australia about 1880. Returning to Henry & Catherine nee PASK:- Their 2nd child was Henry bapt. 14 May 1794 at Stoke. Their 3rd child was Mary bapt. 20 May 1795 at Stoke, buried there 13 Dec. 1802 Their 4th child was John FROST (my gr. gr. grandfather) bapt. 11 Oct. 1798 at Stoke, d. 29 Mar. 1852 near Melbourne, Vic. married 9 May 1826 at Haverhill Mary Ann KING (bapt. 28 July 1805 at West Wratting, Cambs. dau. of William KING and Hannah WAKELING. She died 24 Oct. 1871 at Melrose, South Australia. See entry for Steeple Bumpstead. Their 5th child was Sophia bapt. 25 Oct. 1800 at Stoke by Clare Their 6th child was Charles bapt. 3 April 1804 at Stoke by Clare Their 7th child was George bapt. 25 Mar. 1805 at Stoke by Clare. Returning to Henry FROST and Mary (nee COOT):- Their 2nd child was Elizabeth bapt. 12 May 1758 at Stoke by Clare marr. 7 July 1778 at Stoke Joshua ALLEN. Their 3rd child was Mary bapt. 14 Sept. 1759 Their 4th child was Edward b. c. 1761 (bur. 18 Oct. 1839 Stoke) marr. 12 feb. 1788 at Wixoe Elizabeth WHITTAKER, widow Their 5th child was William b. c. 1765 marr. 9 Oct. 1792 Stoke by Clare Sarah TALBOTT.
