red mail Jessie M born saxmundham approx 1870
Jessie M (Born approx1870 Saxmundham Suffolk) is recorded on 1891 census living with her husband Frederick Wm Taylor, daughter, Jessie Mabel aged 2yrs & son Frederick M(orW)age 1yr in Hammersmith London. Frederick was born in Jersey so is easier to trace but I cann't find a record of his marriage or childrens birth certs. They went on to have a family of 7 children recorded on 1901 census as all born Hammersmith. Would anyone have a suggestion as to what Jessie M's surname may have been. I know that Frederick Wm died 1901 and his son Alfred died in WW1. Dispite numerous searches I haven't been able to find any birth certs to give the mothers surname. Any advice appreciated.

I am also researching the Skinner family from Bermondsey London, the Bowrys from Old Malden Surrey, originally from Iver Buckinghamshire and the Burns family from Haddington East Lothian Scotland.Plus the Picards who also lived in Indiaduring the Raj.
red mail Clarence Morgans
Does any resident of Saxmundham or anyone else remember the Dentist, Clarence Gladwin Morgans, who between 1925 and 1966 had his Practice in Holly Lodge, High Street, Saxmundham? and if so, is it known whether he had any family/descendants who might still be resident in the area. Clarence Gladwin Morgans was, I believe, one of the children of John Morgans (JM having originally been from Swansea, South Wales, who went out to India and is said to have founded a Paper Mill out there). Of John Morgans' known children, Clarence studied Dentistry at Edinburgh and registered on 10th September 1924, first appearing in the Dentist's Register in 1925 (he had qualified with a Licence in Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 1924). Clarence was one of at least 4 other children, his only known sister being Henrietta, and his only known brothers being, Charles, Henry and John. Of Henrietta and Henry I know no more, but of the other 2 boys, apparently Charles "Went to Edinburgh University, and later played in a Regimental Band, and also on a ship", whilst John "worked in the Aberdeen Oilfields". If there is any member of the Morgans family still living in and around the Saxmundham area, or if anyone knows any more to add to the above, I would love to hear from them, especially as I (and several other cousins) are descended from Clarence's father's sister (Mary Jane nee Morgan/Morgans).
