My great grandfather Francis Ellis Sparrow was born in Nayland 6 May 1851. His sister Ann b.1853 and brothers John b 1855 and Edwin b1856 were also born in Nayland. His father was Jeremiah Ellis Sparrow who married Elizabeth Allen 27 July 1850 in Stoke by Nayland. I beleive he had married a Maria King 26 May 1845. i do not know what became of her. He died in Nov 1858 before his daughter Martha was born in 1859. His widow Elizabeth a dressmaker and the family are recorded at Honey Tye in the 1861 Census. If anyone has further knowledge of this family I would be grateful to hear from them.

Nayland -Victualler,(confirmed).He was a retired coachman.I have found a burial in Nayland in 1871(prior to the census). However the given is 83 which would give a birth year abt.1788, it also gives his occupation as Harness maker. Any information on a John Barnard in Nayland would be appreciated.
