red mail looking for Wells in Monks Eleigh
My GrandFather was Thomas Wells and his farm in Western Australia was named 'Monks Eleigh'. I am trying to find any connection to the village of this name. He was actually illegitimate so its not an easy task to find his ancestry. He married Ester Caroline Fagg, daughter of Richard Fagg from River, Kent, England 1847/1916 and Eliza Ellen Beeching 1858/1930

Edward Nunn was baptised in Monks Eleigh in 1633 to Robert Nunn. Nothing else is known about this Robert, and I am seeking information about him (baptism marriage other children and burial) Edward the son we know about married in 1654 to Bridget Atterton at Boxford, and they then lived out their lives here, baptising 5 children including my ancestor Alice.
red mail John and Julia Barker Born Abt 1830
I am looking for information about John and Julia Barker (brother and sister) who were born in Monks Eleigh about 1830. I have them in London in 1871 when Julia was a widow having married a member of the Saunders family. I am particularly interested in John's first wife who I believe came from Suffolk but have no other information about her. John is my Great Grandfather.
red mail Tyler, Leeks, Woods, Goymer, Gibbons, Etc
My Great Grandfather was Isaac (1) TYLER born 1822 in Monks Eleigh, he was the 7th child of 11 children of William and Sarah (nee LEEKS) TYLER, who were married in 1810 in Kersey. My Isaac and his older brother, John, were sent to Australia as Convicts. Later on Isaac and John's younger sister, Susannah, immigrated out to Tasmania bringing with her 3 of her nephews: John's only son, George. (John's wife, Maria (nee SNELL) died before Susannah left England) Also oldest brother, William TYLER's2 sons, Isaac (2) and (another) George. Isaac (1) died 1914, aged 92. he had married and had 10 children. My Grandfather was the 7th child, and he in turn had 11 children of which my Mother was the youngest. Would love to hear from anyone with any connections to 'my' Tyler branch. Merry Christmas :-) from Tasmania.
