May I ask for more help please. I have been helping a friend trace her family of Blake in the Southwold/Holton area of Suffolk. Her father always told her they were descended from William Blake (1757-1827) or his siblings and they were Irish. I can find no connection with either - can anyone help please. Liz.

red mail Scrutton mystery
I am descended from John Scrutton born ca 1787 Holton St Peter according to the census. He appears to have had a brother James born about the same year or maybe even a twin. Both John and James brought up families in Holton, but I can't find their baptisms. Other Scruttons exist in the parish but the baptisms for these brothers are missing. I know someone called Anne Teazel had twin sons illegimately in 1787 and this is so close - does anyone know who the Teazel brothers were. Help would be much appreciated.
