Ellen Peacock was born in Hadleigh in 1885. She married William Revans in 1905. In 1911 she is in Ipswich prison and her children, all under 5, are in Semer workhouse. Ellen died in 1915. I would like any information about this family.

John Tricker born Hadleigh and married Sarah Bear in Groton on 25th March 1757 before returning to Hadleigh with his bride where their son, also John, was baptised on 16th April 1759. John moved the whole family to Groton in 1765 and spent the rest of his life there. I have hit a stone wall with his father. John who could have been born into any one of at least three Tricker familes living in Hadleigh in the 1730's. Any help in solving this would be much appreciated

One of my ancestors William Valentine (or William Valentine-Slack) was married to Elizabeth (maiden name not known) who lived in Hadleigh some time in the early 1800's and had one or two children there before moving to Norwich.. I am looking for information on Hadleigh OSBORNEs. My ancestor was in East Harling Norfolk from about 1815 when he married an Elizabeth POPE but on all the censuses he says that he was born in 1788 in Hadleigh Suffolk .I have checked the Hadleigh PRs and other nearby places but there is no sign of a George OSBORNE.On the baptism entry for a daughter in 1824 he says that he was a weaver-a common occupation in Suffolk at the time but he was shown as an ag lag or horse keeper on censuses later on. Any one have a George OSBORNE born circa 1788 Hadleigh missing from their tree or with any information about his origins?

My father, Thomas Charles Jeffries was born Hadleigh Suffolk 1902. At the 1901 Census the family lived in Calais Street. Mother was Emily Jane Clarke (nee Wentworth) and father Daniel Charles Jeffries (Occupation Brickmaker). His sister, Kitty was born 1906. Emily died soon after Kitty was born. By 1939 Daniel was living in Regent Street Ipswich. Does anyone recollect this family. Thomas was apprenticed as a blacksmith in Hadleigh, then went to Australia some time in the 1920's I think. He became a Salvation Army Officer. Kitty would be my aunt, there may be another relative called Walter, perhaps her son. Does this ring any bells?
