red mail Bendall family 9 Rose Lane Botesdale
I am seeking information concerning my grandparents,my father, my aunts and great aunts who lived in Botesdale from approximately 1930. My grandfather was Sutton Read Bendall and was foreman at the Redgrave Mill until it burnt down in 1936. I want to track what happened to him after that. My grandmother married my grandfather in 1905 in Yarmouth - Edith May Bunn. I know my Grandfather had two maiden aunts who lived in the Street in Botesdale/Rickinghall border. Kitty and Sally Bendall. My eldest Aunt, Elsie Katherine (born 1908 )was a school teacher at the local school and lived in the village until 1990 approximately. My middle aunt was Marjorie (approx. 1910) I know emigrated with her husband, Jock Lynn in 1948 to South Africa. My Father the youngest went to Eye Grammar School and joined the RAF Officer Cadets in approx. 1932. He married my mother Esme Carey in 1942 in Bangor N. Ireland. Any information of their time spent at 9 Rose Lane Botesdale (a council house) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
My grandfather was John Sullings Cant - who I believe was born in Suffolk before he moved to Warrington. His parents were John Cant (or James Cant) and Mary Ann Smith I believe, If this rings bells with anyone please let me know - Thanks
