I am searching for the ancestors of Thomas Gibbons,born circa 1814 and transported to Van Diemans Land in 1836.He was a blacksmith by trade. His convict indent states he was a native of Wolverhampton whilst his headstone states native of Staffordshire. Also on the headstone are the place names Woodgreen and Westbury. These somehow appear to go back to his English origins but I have never been able to ascertain their significance. Can anyone help?

I am led to believe that Harry was born in London and moved to Wolverhampton. He worked on the rail roads. I know he died with a heart problem but not sure when. Harry married a lady called Emily Green and i think they had five children one of them being Jean Lampitt who bore my Father John William Lampitt. William seems to be a strong name in my family as Harry's middle name was William, my uncle is called William and my Nan Jean's Brother was also called William. Anyone have any more info please message me! I know for certain that I am not connected the Lampitts in Worcestershire.

Seeking information on children of Thomas Ward (Wood Turner and later a Tallow Chandler)and Mary Ann (formerly Callin(g)swood) who lived in various addresses in Compton and Wolverhampton in the 1850's and 1860's. Children Emma b 1845, Ann 1847, William 1848. Edward 1850, Thomas 1853, Henry 1855 and James 1859. Thomas's father is William Ward a dealer and Mary's father was a locksmith in Wolverhampton.
