red mail Elizabeth Simpson 1843-1878
I need help to overcome a "brick wall". My 2x great grandmother Elizabeth Simpson's birth cert shows parents John Simpson (occup: tailor) and Ann nee Thompson. I can find no trace of John and Ann in 1841 or 1851 census. There is a possible entry for Elizabeth with no family in 1861. Her marriage cert in 1866 ( husband Richard Turley) shows her father is deceased. Is anyone else researching this family? Any ideas where I could look for them? There is no trace of a marriage for John and Ann on IGI or post 1837.Thanks
