My Great-grandmother was Emma Nicholls (born 1878), who's father and mother were Henry and Elizabeth Nicholls, born in 1853 & 1857 respectively. The family, going back to the early 19th century were Trap Makers. a thriving industry in Wednesfield in the 19th century. I would be grateful if anyone has information on the family.

Looking for information regarding my husband's maternal grandfather: William Henry Whitfield, born 16 Oct 1867 and thought to be born at Doreingler Wood, Shropshire, England and resided (age 24, per 1891 - England Census)at Wednesfield, Staffordshire, England. Was married to first wife Maud M.A. Also there's a connection to a Henrietta Whitfield? It's believed he was an only child but not confirmed? Wm.Henry emigrated to Canada, first in the province of British Columbia, where he married Sarah Elizabeth Thompson and they had 6 children: Wm. Ernest, Arthur George, Mildred Irene and Gladys L. (son Percy Lloyd and daughter Lillian M. died in infancy). The family eventually located to farm at Red Deer Lake area, Alberta, N.W.T. (age 34 per 1901 Census of Canada). Wm.Henry Whitfield died at Victoria, B.C. Canada 18 July 1921 at age 53. As of this date, the only remaining Canadian relatives are offspring of Wm.Henry's son Wm.Ernest and daughter Mildred. Any further information would be greatly appreciated such as names & birthdates, etc. of Wm. Henry's parents, siblings if any, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. and any other information would be most welcome. Thank you. MLB

My great grandparents George (born 1839) and Elizabeth (nee Jones)both came from wednesfield. I can find no record of their families from the 1851 census ( George was in lodgings by then) and Elizabeth Jones was a pretty common name! They had about 6 children including my grandfather Frank born about 1876 - he married Florence Hubball( she was one of 13 children) from Taylor st Wednesfild in 1901.They had 2 girls Mary and Gladys and my dad Frank born in 1909. Can anyone throw any light on gerorge and Elizabeths family please?
