looking for anything on jessie elsie staples she was the wife of harries wade brown(or harris wade brown either spelling ) they were married in 1918 in england somewhere then they returned to new zealand where harries was born,but im afraid harries was a bit of a scoundrel and so jessie returned to england 5 months later and nothing else was heard from her,whether she divorced him is unknown but she became a widow in 1921 any help please would be greatly appreciated indeed it is believed that when jessie returned to england she may have been with child this is yet to be confirmed

My 2xgrt grandma came from the above village or so it say on a couple of census returns. It say Fair oak south staffs on 1911 census anyone have any info please, Her name was Elizabeth Taylor born a round 1834, her father according to 3 marriage certificates was Robert Taylor. She married James Smith 1851, had 1 son William A in 1856, then Enoch Shenton 1863, had 3 sons but only one survived my grt granddad John Thomas Shenton. Then in 1885 married William Falkingham an army taylor. All these marriages took place in the Hanley area of Stoke on Trent. I would love to find her Christening, nothing on IGI. I am researching the Merricks family from Stafford. I have got back to William Merricks born around 1812 born in Tillington, he married Mary Johnson. The marriage certs has a Thomas Merricks and Sarah Harkiss? as wittness but I can not say if Thomas is a brother or father to William. Many of the family worked at Bostocks shoes, including George Merricks son of William and Henry grandson of William. I would be interested to hear from anyone related to this family. sue

My ancestors were Shoemakers in Staffordshire and lived in St Mary, Stafford. All christened and married in St Mary's Church, Stafford. The earliest I think is Thomas Heath c1803 who married a widow, Sarah Poulson. Then his son William Heath married Elizabeth Murrall. I am trying to trace any relatives of Kelsie May Bonigal who married Kenneth Olgivy Ireland in Reigate in 1930. It is believed Kelsie was born in the Staffordshire area and could have been registered between 1895 and 1898 as Elsie Bonegal or Bonigal. Kelsie died in Reigate in 1986 aged 88. It is believed Kelsie had a daughter, Mary born in London in 1927.
