My g-g-g-grandmother was Sarah Ready (nee Deakin) and her brother was John Deakin who had a chemist shop on Tamworth Street, Lichfield. John died c1811 and my g-g-grandfather Thomas Ready took over the shop. Thomas later became mayor of Lichfield in 1846. The Ready family were previously (and subsequently)brassfounders in Wolverhampton. I should be interested if anyone has further information on the Deakin and Ready families

Can anyone help me make contact with Russell, Sarah or Gill AMBLER? They are the family of my cousin John AMBLER, who died in Stafford in 1998. John was the only child of Noel AMBLER and Audrey, (nee WARREN). Noel was the only child of William AMBLER and Mary, known as Mollie, DONELAN. Mary Donelan was the second Daughter of James DONELAN and Emma DENBOW. In October 2008 we held a DONELAN family get together,for everyone descended from James and Emma, which was attended by just over 100 family members. The only branch of the family we were unable to contact were the AMBLERS, as we had lost contact with them since the death of Audrey, and we would love to hear from them.

I am seeking information on Jesse Bee who was born in Rugeley in 1762 but spent most of his life in Lichfield. He married Sarah Wall of Barton-under Needwood. He was an attorney's clerk. I am also interested in succeeding generations who continued to live in Lichfield including William Bee b 1762 who married Ellen Burton; William Bee b 1847 who married Harriett Lockley; and Francis Mary Bee b 1879 who married Alfred William Jackson. The second William Bee became the Mace Bearer of Lichfield. There were many other brothers and sisters.

Thomas Summerfield
Thomas Summerfield was the proprietor of the Duke of Wellington Inn, Birmingham Road, Lichfield, in 1830, according to a local directory. By the 1841 census his wife, Lydia, was the proprietor of the Inn but of course the 1841 census does not say whether she was a widow. Thomas married Lydia, nee Corbett, 8 December 1816. This is all I know about Thomas, who was my 4xgtgrandfather. I would be very grateful for any information about him.
