Can you please help? I am looking for information on my Uncle Georges father who he never knew, his name is William Lewis Grant Jones b.around 1897 d.1926 aged 29yrs he married Martha Powell in 1923, Martha gave birth to their son George Jones in 1927, William never saw his son. I beleive they lived in or around Ettingshall, but William owend or worked in a bicycle shop in Wednesbury. My Uncle has a bible dated 1927 the year he was born from St Andrews Sunday School, Coalman Street, Bilston which is no longer there, does any one remember the Sunday School or any of the children who atended there or even the Church, i would imagine it to be a Methodist Church as my Uncle George is a Methodist. Martha Powell went on to marry Frederick Gallear in 1929 and they had Freddie Gallear b.1929 he joined the navy and moved to London, and Edwin Gallear my dad bless him b.1931 d.2001 If you know of any imformation i,d be very grateful thank you.

Seeking info. re ancestors of Thomas Maddocks and his second wife, Sarah Fanny Vaughan, who were married on July 14, 1863 at St. Peter & Paul church in Aston Manor, and lived in Ettingshall. They had 6 or 7 children, including George, Clara, Agnes, Minnie, and Thomas.
Samuel Haddock and his wife Hannah lived in George Street, Ettingshall at a house called Wesley Villa. They had 10 children and two daughters died in the influenza epidemic in 1918. I wonder whether anyone is researching this family?
James Dibble was a Forgeman living in Ettingshall in 1839 - do you have a James Dibble in your tree?

Any information please regarding John Barratt Living at 165 Anchor Square ettingshall a labourer at furnaces, He and his wife Hannah lived there with their 2 children in 1891 John willie and Elliot , john willie drowned in the canal and was inturned in Darkhouse chapel on the 12th january 1892, His elder brother ernest also inturned darkhouse chapel 1889 aged 5yrs .
