red mail OSBORN - Henry
Can anyone help with more details of my Great Grandfather, Henry Osborn. He was born in Halesowen, Worcs. in 1838 and was married to a lady with the name of Frances who came from Stretton in Staffordshire. In the 1881 census he is listed as being a 43 year old farmer of 109 acres in Brewood. Sadly it appears that he died the following year in 1882. Does anyone know of a grave in St Mary and St Chad's cemetary? I am curious to find out the cause of his death at such a young age - was it a farming accident or an illness? As I live in Devon, any local help would be most gratefully received.

red mail LEEK
Leek families in Brewood circa 1780/1910. I have a Charles Leek b.1785/90 and a William Leek circa 1796.
George Marsden was a millwright. He was born in Derbyshire(probably around 1790?) then moved to Brewood where he later married Frances Moorcroft in 1818. They returned to Derbyshire for some time where their 3 sons were born: Joseph (1820) Crich; Frederick (1821)Dethick; and William (1823)Dethick. After that he's a mystery; we know that his son Frederick learned the cordwainer trade in Willenhall and that a 4th child may have been born in Brewood, so presumably they returned to Staffordshire? There's also a lead that his widow Frances may have lived in Ashover, Derbyshire in her later years. Is anyone else following this family line?
Can anyone provide info about SAMUEL GRIMWOOD and his wife Hannah (maiden name unknown) who according to the 1871 census were living at The Wharf Brewood?
