George Arthur - (Stoke Trister - Somerset)
I am researching George Arthur born in Lydford in the Parish of Stoke Trister in approx 1818 according to the 1881 census and his wife who I think was Jane Richards. Any information would be most welcome.
Webber of Stolford & Stogursey - (Stolford - Somerset)
Richard Webber,a fisherman / labourer, married Betsey Thomas in 1825 in Stogursey. They lived in Stolford where their children were born: Jane, George, James, Fanny, Johanna and Edward from 1826-1839. Elizabeth and John were registered as Stockland Bristol babies from 1842-1844. John travelled to Geelong Victoria and married Emily Matthews in 1878. I've been following the family of George married to Mary Leach and believe George and Reginald (twins) on the 1901 Bridgewater census are their grand children. I'm hoping to follow these boys to find living relatives. Also, whatever did become of James and Edward? Any families marrying my Webber girls are keenly sought. I am the last of John Webber's (1844)line except for my 26 year old son.
