ROSSITER Stephen b abt 1826
Looking for more information about Stephen ROSSITER, son of Roger b abt 1771 and Sarah b abt. 1781, seen in the 1841 Census (HO107 piece 950 book 10 folio 31 page 54) at Langley. A postem at FreeBMD says that Stephen married Ann COURT (bap 21 Apr 1822, Chipstable, Somerset) and the marriage was registered in Q1 1845 in Wellington Registration District. I have found a transcription of a baptism in the registers of St Andrew's in Wiveliscombe, No. 1159, 11 Jun 1826, Stephen the son of Roger and Sarah. I have a 1851 Census record in Wiveliscombe for an Ann ROSSITER which says that she is married, but she is head of the household, and Stephen is not there. Does anyone have any records for Stephen which are later than 1841?

red mail Wiveliscombe Families And History
I have a plethora of ancestors from the Wiveliscombe area. Firstly, the SAFFIN and SAVIN family, who date back to John SAFFIN who married Elizabeth BURGE in 1732, via six generations to Edwin Alfred SAFFIN, who was born in 1875. Other Wiveliscombe families in my Family Tree include the COLLARDs (who date back to 16th century Wiveliscombe), the GREEDYs (who I have traced back to John GREEDY born 1675), and the TUCKFIELDs (who moved to Wiveliscombe from Stogumber around 1840). My present brick wall is the RADNIDGE family - I have traced the RADNIDGEs back to John RADNIDGE, born circa 1740, but can go back no further. If anyone outside the area would like to know more about Wiveliscombe (its history, etc), do contact me - I cannot guaranteethat I will know the answer to your questions, but I will do my best.
