I am looking for any informatiom on Henry William Ford b 1819 at Wincanton & married Maria Sarah Jeanes (B 1820) on 6 Sep 1838. Henry's father was Hezekiah Ford, a farmer. Maria's father was John Jeanes, a labourer. Henry, my great grand father, emmigrated to Australia aboard the vessel "Victoria" in 1849. Have reached brick wall. Can not find them in any records. They may have emmigrated from another county or country. Can anyone please help?

I am looking into the Loader family tree. My great, great,great grandfather was a John Loader born c 1815 in Wincanton. He married a Hester Parker (1824) and they lived in Bristol. We know from their marriage certificate that John's father was also John Loader and that he was an innkeeper. An entry in the 1851 census shows John Loader snr (56 in census) and wife, Elizabeth, running the George Inn in Knowle, Bristol. He was also from Wincanton, Somerset. John Loader jnr was also living in Knowle with his future wife and in-laws. John had three brothers that I know of - William, Edward and George. Can anyone provide any further information on the Loader family from Wincanton? At the time of John's birth his father was "yeoman" which I understand to mean yeoman farmer. I do not know his wife's maiden name but believe she was from Winterbourne.

James HORSEY b 1801 Maperton married Elizabeth MICHELL b 1806 Charlton Musgrove, they had ten children from twins John and Louisa in 1826 to the youngest, Albert in 1844. They lived at 123 North St Wincanton where James was a 'Cooper' by trade. James died at Wincanton in 1864 and Elizabeth died there in 1865. The other children are; Charles 1827, Emily 1829, Emma 1833, Ellen 1834, Eli 1835, Henry 1840, Selina 1842. Henry married Emma Jane GODFREY (b 1841 at Horsington)at Wincanton in 1861, they had two sons; Thomas Godfrey b 1866 Wincanton and Birt b 1879 Wincanton. They migrated to Australia in 1880 and pioneered the dairy industry in northern New South Wales and far north Queensland.
