My grandmother's father Robert Bull and his many brothers and sisters lived in the hamlet of Ham, part of West Buckland. Their parents were William Bull, husbandman, born in Hillfarrance nearby, and Elizabeth born in nearby Nynehead.

Looking for info. on the RIDGE & TOTHILL family of West Buckland. Valentine RIDGE (d.1727) was a yeoman & sergemaker of West Buckland. He m. Catherine (d.1740) bef. 1686. They had a large family including Margaret (1692-1774). She m. Joseph TOTHILL (d.1763) in 1721. Joseph TOTHILL was possibly b. at Pitminster in 1695 the son of Thomas TOTHILL. Names the Ridge & Tothill children married into incl. GLASS, FARRANT, LEAMAN, LANE & HARCOMBE.
