looking for information about Freddie Garrett or Gladys Garrett. Freddie was born in Wales and travelled to Martock after his father dies. Gladys was born in London and worked in a department store. She had a sister that lived in the villaage. They had 4 girls and 1 boy- Doris, Audrey, Joan, Daphne and Eric. Freddie was in the 1st world war and work at the wood yard.

I am trying to locate information regarding the parents of John Worner and Elizabeth Isaac. All the information I have found for John indicates that he was born 6 Feb 1818 in Somerset County, England and Elizabeth Isaac was born 13 May 1819, also in Somerset County, England. They were married 12 Aug 1842 in Somerset County, England. I have a copy of their marriage record but it does not have their ages or parent's names. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching Joseph Elliott and his wife Matilda Vigar. I have found them on 1851 census as living at Goodfords Folly, Martock, Yeovil. Can anyone tell me if Goodfords Folly is a street name, a property or an area? Would also be interested in any information regarding this family. I am looking for any information on Elizabeth Lugg. She was born about 1790 and is sometimes listed as LEGG. She married a Thomas Gaylard, though he is sometimes described as Thomas GILLARD. He came originally from Martock, born about 1780. They married circa 1803 in Charmouth in Dorset They both died in Plymouth, she in 1826, he in 1844.

Any inforamtion gratefully received on ELI RAYSON born in Martock in 1821. He married Catherine and one of their children was JAMES RAYSON who married Elizabeth Ralph. James & Elizabeth's son WILLIAM RAYSON (b 1865) joined the Navy and ended up in Portsmouth where he married Agnes in 1890.
