red mail Brimble/Withers/Cooke
Frederick Brimble married Mercy Withers (nee COOKE) in 1880 in Clutton District. On marriage certificate states ELIJAH BRIMBLE and JOSEPH COOKE (deceased) Coal Miners. Mercy age 31, Frederick 27. red mail Clutton, Radstock, Somerset
I am researching Mary Jane Brimble (nee Gullick) and William Frederick Brimble, however although they were my great great grandparents and married on the 25th September 1937 I am having no luck tracing William Fredericks parents believed to be Frederick William (maybe just Frederick?) and Mercy. Mary Jane's father was Richard Gullick and Eliza Story/Storry/Storrey. I would appreciate any help as the only record I have found suggested a Thirza Brimble (nee Cottle) married to Frederick William Brimble but I do not believe this has any connection to my part of the family. Thank you all those who have replied, I now have a possible marriage with a 'Mercy Withers' and have ordered a copy of the cert.
