I am trying to get more information on a William Brown who fathered a daughter, Amelia, in Bridgwater in around 1836. The first concrete sighting I have of Amelia is on the birth of her daughter, also Amelia, in 1879 when she is married to a William Taylor - sailor and living in Radnor St, Chelsea, London. By the 1881 census Amelia is recorded as widowed. Her second marriage, to a Robert Richardson, gives a William Brown as her father. I do not know whether Amelia was originally a Brown, an illegitimate child or a step daughter and I have been unable to make much headway online. Any pointers where I can search would be welcomed. Searching for information on my ggrandfather Theodore Click born about 1854 in Bridgwater. His mother was Louise or Louisa Burnell. I have no information about his father who could have been named CHICK rather than CLICK. I have informqation regarding descendants who now live in Canada and Australia. Theodore became a blacksmith and migrated to South Wales where he worked in one or more collieries as a blacksmith. He married Mary Ann Kidner who bore him at least four children. If anyone has anyinformation regarding any of the above please contact me.
