Gt Gt Gfather Robert Morris, born c 1830 in Llanrhaeadr, Denbighshire. Married Susannah (poss Vaughan) had children William, Richard, James, Sarah E.J. Robert was a saddler, lived latter yrs in Shrewsbury, Bythells Passage. Robert died I believe 1899, same year as Susannah. Dont know what became of Richard, Sarah, and James at time of writing. Are you connected?

From The Century Cyclopedia of Names 1895 William Henry West Betty was known as "Master Betty" or the "Young Roscius" born at Shrewsbury 13th Sept. 1791 he died at London 24th Aug. 1874. An English actor especially famous for his precocity. He made his 1st appearance in 1803 as Oswyn in "Zara" he left the stage in 1806, returned to it in 1812, and finally abandoned it in 1824.

Edward was a Carpenter and Joiner by trade, serving his apprenticeship with William John Gethin, a Builder and Contractor of Shrewsbury. In 1875 Edward was living in ChapelStreet, Frankwell Shrewsbury.Edward married Ann Brown about 1880. Edward and Ann lived at 43 Quarry View Shrewsbury for much of their married life. Hi I am looking for the family of Thomas Rankine and his wife Catherine Jane Macartney. They were school teachers and seemed to have moved around a good deal. The 1881 Census has them living in Shrewsbury with their children Kate Macartney Rankine,Thomas Rankine and Wallace Bruce Rankine on Abbey Forgate Rd. Kate was also a school teacher and Thomas and Wallace were railway clerks. All of these children were born in Cranfield Bedfordshire. Kate married in 1890 Joe Thompson Westwood in NewWortley County of Leeds at the age of 28. Thomas Rankine, the son of Thomas and Catherine, married in 1888 in the parish of Holy Cross Shrewsbury to Jane Atkinson of Shrewsbury. I am trying to find out what happened to Wallace Bruce Rankine. Hi Looking for decendants of Richard and Emma (nee Taft) Wilkinson. Richard's occupation were bailiff and at one time husbandman (??). They had a son John (other siblings unknown, possibly brother Ron??). John was born on 20 March 1859 in Knowbury, Bitterley, County of Salop UK. John married Emma Watkins on 19 August 1878 at Trinity Church, Parish of Holy Trinity, Shrewsbury, Salop and had a daughter Caroline Frances Wilkinson (unmarried). John died on 24/11/1945 at St James'Hospital, Battersea. Last known address Holmewood Gardens, Brixton Hill, SW2. John's occupation was train driver. Caroline (my great grandmother) was born 3 September 1885 in Brighton and was a teacher. She never married but had a son Harold (tut! tut!)obviously my grandfather who took the surname Bayden. I'm looking for any possible links with a view to finding more information regarding my gr grandmother Caroline Wilkinson or any connection to the surname 'Bayden'.
