This is my 5th great grandfather and is proving a great stumbling block to me going further back in my ancestry research , what I have so far is he had a son John born 1808 christened St Chads both he and John where Tin smiths and braziers and in 1828 Thomas lived and worked from Bridge street john in 1835. From the christening record of St Chads of 1808 Thomas and Susannah were johns parents and I found a record of a marriage between Thomas and Susannah in 1794 (sept 29) at St Alkmunds , but I cannot find any other evidence of when Thomas was born or who his parents were. I think also He had another son actually named Thomas in 1797. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to finding evidence of Thomas the elders birth date and parents many thanks
