Between 1894 and 1900 they moved north to Oldham. A further son William was born in 1900. Any history at all would be very helpful.
red mail A girl named Sarah
as so many girls were in the 1800s! This one married JOHN FORD of Adderley and among her children, all born in Prees, was THOMAS ARTHUR FORD who was apprenticed to a blacksmith in Faulls, joined the 7th Lancers and went to the Boer War. He married(twice), and, as a Colour Sergeant, went down with the ship MENDI in the English CHannel in WW1. Did his English rellies know how he died? His second wife was a Swiss girl, he never saw her daughter, my husband's sister-in-law. Any help locating descendents of JOHN and SARAH would be wonderful. Thank you.
