Evans Family
I am looking for any information regarding a william Evans from Llanyblodwel. He was born about 1785, however that date is uncertain. He moved to Shoreditch in London where it appears he married someone called Harriet. His occupation is listed as a Paper Stainer.
red mail JONES, Llanyblodwel/Selattyn/Llangedwin
Looking for any information surrounding the family of David Jones, born Llangedwin, Denbigh circa 1840. Father was a Thomas Jones and mother, Jane (maiden name unknown). In the 1841 census, this family seems to be living at Llanyblodwel, Shropshire: Thomas Jones, 27, Jane Jones, 29, plus children: Mary, 5, Margaret, 4, and David, 2. By the 1851 census the family appears to be living at the Gyrn, Selattyn, Shropshire, with the following children (all born Llanyblodwel): Thomas, 9, Ann, 7, John, 5, William, 3, and Joseph, 1 (born Selattyn). Any and all information would be gratefully received. Cheers Bryan
red mail John & Martha JONES
Children of the above couple baptised at Llanyblodwell were John 1807, Morris 1809, Mary 1811, William 1814, Edward 1816,Elizabeth 1820. I believe Humphrey born 1824 Nut Tree Bank but baptised Trefonen 1825 may have been the youngest child of this family. 1841 census shows Martha (widowed) living in Trefonen with Morris and William. Humphrey is probably working as a farm labourer in Ebnal or Middleton. In 1851 he has moved to Bilston, Staffs. He named 3 of his sons Edward, Morris and William. Any info. on John and Martha would be most welcome.
We are searching for details of this couple who married at the Church in Llanyblodwel on 23 March 1841. They were both listed in the certificate as "servants". Parents were recorded as Thomas James and Griffith Francis. The couple had a child, Mary Ann James, just before they shipped out to the USA. We are trying to find out whether they met while employed as some Hall in the area; and what ship they travelled to the USA on.
