Looking for details regarding George Owen, 5th son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Owen of Benthall, Broseley (born ?1870). Married Mary Ann Vale-Humphreys third daughter of late Mr and Mrs W Humphreys on 13 May 1897 at St Vincent's Catholic Church Ashted Row Brimingham. Moved to New Zealand after WWI and settled in Thames, NZ. Two children one Serena Agnes born 20 February 1899 at 7 Adderley Road, Salkley and another William (birth date unknown). At the time of his marriage George would have been around 28 years of age. Serena was a WWI bride to a ANZAC soldier and settled in Otago New Zealand

I am seeking Martha Hartshorne and her ancestors - born to John Hartshorne and wife Sarah Glasse or Glace at Benthall 1825. Martha had siblings Alexander b1811 who married Susanna Aston 31 Dec 1847 at Broseley parish church and John b1821 as well as John b1831. (No death located for first John) Martha was the first wife of Thomas Boden and died in 1856 after having 4 children Her 3rd child Sarah Boden married Richard Morgan at Great Malvern in 1868 The Morgans later moved to Lancashire. Richard Morgan originated from Aberhafesp Montgomeryshire. Sarah's elder sister Fanny Boden married Robert William Wardroper in 1864 Any info appreciated. Joseph Hartshorn married Hannah ? in Benthall. Joseph was born 1814 and Hannah in 1816. Does anyone know who their parents were, and when they were married. Their first child Rebecca was born in 1844 in Benthall, before they moved to Dudley and then on to Moxley Staffordshire.

My great grandfather Henry Edward Leonard BROOKES was said to have come from "Bentle Hall" in Staffordshire. Can't find a Bentle Hall but thought "Benthall" could be a possibility. Did Staffordshire borders move since 1849?
