looking for George LOGAN born early 1800's Ross and Cromarty, he was a farmer. He had two sons. John LOGAN born 1836 Downpatrick, Ireland and William LOGAN born 1845 Downpatrick, Ireland.

I am trying to find Robert LOGAN born approx. 1786 Rosskeen, Ross and Cromarty. He married Isabella ROSS in Rosskeen 1812. Their children, Mary, Janet, Isobel, George, Elizabeth, James and Catherine. All born Rosskeen. I also cannot the parents of Robert LOGAN.

Desperate to find out more details of this family's origins. Been trying for three years. John Munro (b about 1780) married a Margaret ???????. They had a daughter Christiana (b about 1816), who emigrated to Australia from Cromarty aboard the Lady McNaughton in 1838. Christiana married an English convict Edward Everson in Australia. But it's her parents, John and Margaret, I need to know about. On one arrival card Christiana said she was a native of Dornoch and her father John was a from Lossie, Elgin. On another card she said he was a farmer of Logie (maybe Logie East). Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Catherine and lillias.All born 1850 to 1859.Have found family for John and Donald not no information for Catherine and lillias . Donald married a Catherine forbes.He was born in 1850.Don't know who her parents were or if she had any siblings.Charles had a brother William who married a Mary Fraser .They had a son Andrew born 1740 and a son William born 1748.Does anyone share these ancestors.

Puzzling one. Hard part is finding out where she was born and her parents' origins. Only certain thing is her father was John. Birth: Based on immigration papers, Abt. 1816 Scotland. Possibly Dornoch but could also be Ross Shire. Baptised possibly in Farr, Sutherland. Emigration in 28 Jan 1839 to Sydney aboard Lady McNaughton. Unmarried immigrant. Father listed as John and mother as "Margt". She travelled with Donald McDonald Family. Read not write. Presbyterian. Marriage: 4 Feb 1840 at Oakville; Whittingham; Wollombi, NSW to convict Edward Everson (18081877). Birth of Daughter Isabella Stevenson Everson(18461939), 15 Sep 1846 at Clarence Town, New South Wales, Australia. Death: 9 Feb 1871 in Sydney. Reg. 1894/1871. Shows only John as father.

I am trying to confirm a connection to a John ROSS b:1768 in Meikle Farnes and married to Anne MUSTARD in 1793, through a son George b:1796 in Cromarty. Other children were John, Alexander, Ann, Isabel and Jane. George became a sailor and married Catherine Ross in 1822.

I am researching the Forbes family of Cromarty. Alexander Forbes, born 1762 at Rosemarkie was a stonemason. He married Ann Munroe 1770-1861. They had seven children , William , Augustus, Andrew, Alexander, Ann, Harry and Margaret Ann, my wife's GG grandmother. Margaret Ann married Barnabas Hindmarsh a seaman from South Shields in 1832 at Cromarty. Their daughter Harriet Ann, born 1841, married Roderick Davidson in Edinburgh in 1860. I am seeking information on the Davidson family of Cromarty. Roderick Davidson was born at Invergordon in 1809. He married Ann Fairburn in 1828 at Rosemarkie. They moved to Cromarty where he worked as a weaver in the Hemp Factory. They had at least seven children, Jacobina, John, William, Jane, Roderick, Jemina and Mary Ann. Their son Roderick (1838-186?) married Harriet Hindmarsh (1841-1925) in 1860 at Edinburgh. Roderick and Harriet had one son, Foster John Davidson 1862-1928 ( my wife's grandfather) who is buried in Brisbane Australia. Seeking work Roderick emigrated to New Zealand in 1862. He mailed he had arrived safely but was never heard of again. Any information on the family is appreciated.
