I'm looking for information on my Grandfather's family. He was born Michael Noon, on August 2, 1881, in Curraghroe, to Michael Noone(farmer) and Anne(Greene)Noone. He was one of 10 children. His siblings were, Patrick (b-1865), John(b-1868), Kate(b-1869),Mary(b-1872),Anne(b-1874), Ellen(b-1879), Eliza(b-1882), Luke(b-1885)and Charles(b-1889). My Grandfather, immigrated to New York City in 1907, as did most of his siblings. His brother, Patrick, was the first to arrive in 1891, and, returned and accompanied most of his brothers and sisters to NY, in different years. A few of the siblings stayed in Curraghroe - Charles, Kate, John. If anyone should have any information or perhaps remembers some of their descendants I would be most gratefull for your help. Census says he was born in Frenchpark ROS. Griffiths Valuation has 8 households with the name SHREHAN/SHREHORN in Frenchpark. I think his father was the John SHREHAN - a shoemaker - christened 12th Aug 1791 at Athlone & Drum ROS. Anything on the Irish connection would help.

Looking for information on Francis Kenny of Strokestown, Co. Roscommon and his family. His occupation was a ropemaker which his Son Francis continued and his grandson Joseph F. Kenny helped. I believe he had 16 children and his wife's madien name was Casey. One of their daughters was Margaret Thresa (Kenny) Mahon, my Great Great Grandmother and Francis Kenny was one of their sons. The son Francis stayed in Ireland while Margaret and some of their brothers and sisters went to the United States. Margaret was married to Patrick Mahon of Co. Mayo, Ireland. Their son was William A. Mahon and daughter was Mary (Mahon) Hogan. William was married to Mary E. Lawless, and their daughter was Mary (Mahon) Grab, my Grandmother. She was married to Robert Michael Grab, Harrisburg, PA, USA and had 19 children, of which my Dad is the youngest. Any information would be wonderful. I have some information and am happy to share.
