I am seeking help with my search for information on my great grandparents James =POWELL= born c1846 Presteign, and Anne (Annie) =WATKINS= c1856 from Radnorshire, believed to also be from Presteign. They had 3 children I know of: James c1890, born Old Radnor (1901 census) Sydney 1893 (my grandfather)also born Old Radnor (Horse & Jockey, Old Radnor)(have cert)and Walter c1897, only listed as Radnorshire on 1901 census. My Great Great Granparents were Herbert and Sarah Sparey. At the time of the 1901 Census they ran a Grocers on Presteigne High Street. They had four children at the time of the 1901 Census all under ten, they were James M Sparey (My Great Granfather) Maud E Sparey, Alf Sparey and Raulph Sparey. I would be interested to hear of any desendents of Alf Sparey still in the Presteigne area. I know Raulph emigrated to South Africa and Maud did not marry.

Looking for information on 3 Ggrandfather. Stories padded down was that he and brothers came to America early 1800's after getting in trouble over a lady. I have a bill I found on the internet billing reflecting irons for Thomas Owins paid for for him in 1774. I don't know if this is a brother or not. We were also told they changed there names from Padget to Owins at the time of the trouble. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
