red mail Fortune Drew born 1836
1861 census shows Fortune Drew daughter of Thomas Drew, born 1789, married Margaret Sheen 1817. She married John Price, several children listed in various census forms. There is a misconception that she married into the Griffiths family.. The problem arises from James Drew born August 1794 in Llanbadarn Fawr. He died on Nov. 24 1849 at Gwystre Nantmel. James was married to Mary Griffiths, daughter of John Griffiths. James and Mary inherited Goosetree Farm from John Drew. James and Mary also had a daughter named Fortune, yes James and Thomas Drew were brothers. This is why it is easy to get off on the wrong track. Fortune Price nee Drew daughter of Thomas Drew married John Price in 1859. They farmed at Porth Farm New Radnor. The Griffiths family should be looking at James Drew's daughter Fortune born Aug. 1, 1883, Bwich Bach, Nantmel. She married John Griffiths June 7, 1859., St Cynllo's Nantmel .A lot of people have got off on the wrong track due to this mistake. It has probably been easier to pick up on Thomas's daughter Fortune as a lot of research has been done by various family members and not so much on James's family.

A James Moore, smith, died in Gladestry in 1654 leaving a Will mentioning his wife Katherine, an adult daughter by the same name, and a minor son, John. Witnesses to the Will were an Elizabeth Price and an Elizabeth Pugh. I'm attempting to determine whether this may have been the Moore family whose descendants migrated to William Penn's colony in American around 1682.
