Peter Donaldson, Muthill
Am researching Rev Peter Donaldson b 1855 in Muthill, Perthshire, who was a pupil teacher aged 16, as per 1871 census. (He was the son of William Donaldson and Catherine McFarlane.) I understand he became a clergyman/pastor but have no knowledge to which denomination he belonged. He moved to Smyrna and after he married they moved to Thessalonica. He died in 1927 and is buried there. Any information would be most helpful. thank you.

I am researching Catherine McFarlane who was born in Belfast in 1823. I have no clues as to whether Catherine moved with her own parents/siblings to Scotland or whether only she went to Scotland seeking work. Or indeed what happened to the rest of her family. She married William Donaldson, in Muthill, Perthshire, in 1842, and they had 9 children, including twin daughters Mary & Jane in 1852. Jane is my great-grandmother. William Donaldson was the son of William & Isabella Donaldson and he was the grandson of Donald Donaldson (his wife was Janet Carmichael - daughter of James Carmichael and his wife Elspet (nee Smith) Any information would be appreciated. thank you.

Andrew MOIR married Janet CRAMB on 29 Jun 1859 in Kelton Parish, Kirkcudbrightshire. Both gave their place of birth as MUTHILL, Perthshire as their place of birth and their DOBs are 1801 and 1803 respectively. Looking for information re actual dates of birth and parents.
