Looking for ancestors/siblings/family of Donald Fisher (apparently from Killin)- brother John married Mary Campbell - sister Margaret married Duncan McNaughton. Birth dates ca 1730's They all emigrated to USA around 1750's give or take some years. Donald married Elizabeth Munro (daughter of Rev. Harry Munro) in Albany, New York. John & Mary had 4 children (Alexander & Finley (twins), Anne & Margaret). Margaret was widowed when she came to America with her children. In Elizabeth Munro's memoirs she mentions Donald's father and step brother but doesn't name them. Please if someone could help or put me in the right direction. Thanks

I am trying to trace my paternal grandfathers family and have a record for my great grandfather who was born in Killin Perthshire. It appears his name was Alexander John McIntyre. His parents were John McIntyre and Catherine McIntyre (nee Clark). It appears they all emigrated to Victoria Australia and were miners there, I think in the goldfields. If anyone has any information about this branch of my family I would be very grateful.

He married Agnes Macfarlane at Buchanan 12/10/1846 they had 6 children and 2 children from Agnes first marrage to a John Hunter. Agnes,Peter & Agnes first child born 13/6/1847 was my gggrandmother.any information on Peter would be most welcome

looking for anyone that may have any informaion on a John McDiarmid who married Margaret McPherson around 1815 1818 had a son also John born around 1818 came to Australia as a convict in 1832 on death certifc\icate it says John was born in Fife but have had no luck finding any McDiarmids in that area if anyone can help it would be appreciated many thanks.

Looking for descendants of Malcolm McCallum and Margaret Fletcher from the town of Clifton in Killin parish, Perthshire. Malcolm was a cattle drover and dealer, Margaret Fletcher came from Ardchattan, Argyll. Known offspring: Christian McCallum born 1793. Married Archibald McIntyre 1822 in Killin. Archibald was a shepherd and they lived most of their lives in Ardchattan and Glencoe. Duncan McCallum born 1794 - no other information. Janet McCallum born 1797 - no other information. Peter McCallum born 1808. Peter was also a cattle dealer and is on the 1841 census with his widowed mother Margaret in Clifton. No information other than this. Mary McCallum 1803. Mary did not marry and is on the 1851 census for Clifton with mother Margaret. She is mentioned as being a pauper in Clifton in poor house records in 1954. No other info. Donald McCallum born either 1804 or 1811. This is my ancestor. Donald married Mary Campbell in Bonhill in 1844. They were living on Inchlonaig Island in Loch Lomond in 1851. Donald was a gamekeeper. He died of cholera in Bonhill Poorhouse in 1854. Donald and Mary offspring: Margaret b. Luss (Inchlonaig) 1847 - she pops up as a marriage witness in 1873, otherwise no information. Duncan born Luss (Inchlonaig)1849 - married Mary Torrance in Bridgeton, Glasgow 1883. Dugald born Bonhill 1851/2 married Jessie Primrose Semple in Bridgeton 1873. Mary Campbell married Thomas Burns after Donald McCallum died. They had two daughters - Agnes Burns b. Bonhill 1862 married William Charters Bridgeton 1882. Annie born Bonhill 1865 no information although she pops up as witness at brother Donald McCallum's wedding in 1883.
Alexander Campbell (abt. 1700) and Mary Cameron ( abt.1700)had 7 children-Hugh 1727,Archiebald 1728,Alexandra 1730,Mary Jean 1734,John 1737,Patrick 1740, James-28/01/1742-26/09/1829 (PEI, Canada).All were born in Killin,Perthshire. Does anyone have "roots" to these other children??James is the line I descend from.He married Elizabeth Townsend.Hoping in Canada??
