Great Falls Tribune Great Falls, Montana Wednesday 29 November 1967, page 8 John Anderson, Retired Train Engineer, Dies John Anderson, 83, 524 1st Ave. SW, a retired locomotive engineer, died at a local hospital Tuesday after a short illness. Born march 21, 1884, in Doune, Sterlingshire, Scotland, he came to the United States and Great Falls in 1903. He worked for the T.C. Power Co. at Gordon between Vaughn and Power until 1908, when he began work for the Great Northern Railway. He married Elizabeth Davidson here in 1905. She died in 1951. Anderson, who retired in 1959, was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, of Cascade Lodge No. 34 AF &AM and a life member of York Rite Bodies. He is survived by a son David, Great Falls; tow brothers, Robert, Great Falls and Dan, Fairbanks, Alaska; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in the United States and Scotland.
My g g grandfather, WILLIAM MORRISON was born in Doune around 1840.Do not have a birth certificate. He married my g g grandmother in Dundee in 1865. Her name was ANN CONNOR. My g grandfather ,JAMES, was born in Edinburgh 1866. After Ann's death, William remarried Elizabeth Aitken, at Linlithgow. From this marriage, I found that my gt gt gt grandparents were WILLIAM MORRISON aand ANNE FULTON.They married July 1818, at KILMADOCK Parish. Any Morrisons still in the area who may be distant relatives? Gail
