Looking for HITCHMAN family, particularly anyone related to my 2 x great grandmother Sarah Anne HITCHMAN (1862-1943) or her daughter (unknown father) Mabel Foster HITCHMAN (born 1881). Sarah was the daughter of Thomas HITCHMAN (1833-1921) and Anne ROBINS (1837-1915). She had 5 children with Walter James Willson BLAXALL in London and married him in 1928. She then returned to Souldern and married her childhood sweetheart Bob WESTBURY.

William Coleman married Eliza Arnold from Croughton, Northamptonshire and lived in Souldern from 1860 bringing up Eliza's son Edwin and their son Alfred. Regretfully Alfred died age 15 but Edwin Arnold had a large extended family. He married twice, to Ann Hitchman in 1868 and Sarah Ann Smith in 1884. Edwin died age 90 in 1932. Would like to hear from extended family.

Looking for info on the taylor family. We believe Souldern was the village they resided in. The only names I know are Charlotte Elizabeth (approx 1892), William and Samuel Taylor. I am researching the Neale family of Souldern Oxfordshire. Samuel (b c1794) and Catherine Neale (b c1793), Samuel was the innkeeper at the Crown Inn for a number of years. Their son William (b c 1831) married Elizabeth Aikenson (b c1840 Chipping Lanc). After William's death she went on to marry David Scott and lived in Gt Harwood. Their son William Joseph John Neale (b 11 November 1861) married Mary Ann Rydeard (b 24 March 1865 Gt Harwood). William died in Darwen in 1948 and Mary Ann died in Darwen in 1959.
