red mail The Walker Family
Hi, John Walker (b1836 Nottingham) was steward to WEBiscoe of Holton in 1871, by 1881 he was living in the village of Forest Hill. I think he was still working for the Biscoes, since the Holton estate does edge towards Forest Hill . .but this has yet to be confirmed. Married to Maria Tooky 1871 in Rutland. They moved to Oxfordshire via Northampton, which is where my Great Grandfather - Harry was born in 1872. (Harry later married Edith Clara Preece) Any information on the estate, villages of Holton or Forest Hill or the Walker family?
