I am searching for a Edward Huckin born abt 1788, who had a son called Thomas born 1830 in Enstone, other sibblings I'm not to sure. Thomas married a Rebecca Adkins in 1848. They had 9 children from 1849 - abt 1870. I have all the children's namesand most of their dob's and marriages. One of their children was also called Thomas Huckin,(who was born in Enstone) who married a Elizabeth Barnes from Spelsbury. Thomas born 1852. They had 11 children, one of which is my great grandfather. Who wasborn in Enstone. I need to go back to the beginning of my tree for the wife of Edward Huckin, and to his parents, and sibblings etc.
We believe that our now far-flung Plumbe family are descended from Joseph PLUMB who married a Frances BOLTON in nearby Wootton in 1735. This(at present)is as far back as we can go. Later they show up in Woodstock, then Mill St,Wantage. Another branch was at one stage drapers and also Mayors/Magistrates in Henley-on-T, others settled in the Watford area 1903-1956, and by now we're all over the World!!
