My great great grandparents William Tims and Mary Hogan were married on 10 March 1829 in Ballyboy Kings County. They had 11 children. 9 boys and 2 girls. Mary is found living in Salford, UK on the 1861 Census - with four of her younger sons and shown as a widow. I would love to hear from you if you can shed ant light on any of my ancestors. Thank you. I am looking for information on Peter COYNE, who emigrated to Canada from Ireland, it is believed County Offaly, in the late 1840's. After he arrived in Canada he bought land and had a family, and there is a lot of information, but I can find nothing before that. He was born in about 1826, and was a Protestant. His father's name may have been John. I live in Canada, and have been unable to find out any more from here. As he is a direct ancestor, I would like to be able to learn more about him, and trace his family back farther. I understand many Irish records were destroyed, but if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
Seeking my roots. SIMOM CLAVAN believed to be from OFFALY. born 1778. Married BRIDGET possibleY SHAUGHNASSY. In 1851 census lived in Chester England. Children born in Ireland, Peter Clavan, Mary, Bridget, Catherine. Both Simon and Peter were recorded as Hawkers. They were also illiterate hence the various spellings of Surname. my grandfather was Clavin, my father and Claven They were the only Clavan/Clavin/Claven family in Chester according to census returns . Any information however small would be appreciated.

I have been been trying to trace the lineage of the Foran family. A Catherine FORAN married a Peter Wilkinson in Manchester in 1862 and her marriage cert. shows JOHN FORAN of Kings County Ire, as her father... no village unfortunately. He moved to Manchester also by 1861. That UK census gives his b. as 1819, also showing Kings Co. Don't know his 1st spouse's name. May have married 2nd wife Ellen in Ireland about 1856. Michael was born Kilbride, Kings Co. Ireland to Peter Hanlen circa 1732 Newry, Co. Down Northern Ireland. 1 of 1000 men sent to Dublin to dig the Grand Canal from Dublin to Tullamore. It took 14 yrs and they were given a parcel of land along the Canal. Peter married Mary(Unknown) in 1804. Michael born 1808, Pat 1810, Mary 1812, Bridgit 1814, Katie 1816, Tim 1818. I do have a little more info.

As far as I know they married 27 Feb 1856? in King's County Ireland. I think Hugh's father was Martin Dooley and Mary's mother's name Ann Higgins. Not much to go on but if anyone can help... Looking for info on ancestors and descendants of Joseph SHEEHAN and Bridget BRACKEN. Their parents were Denis BRACKEN and Ann FEINE and William SHEEHAN and ? DOYLE (nothing else known about the parents). JOSEPH SHEEHAN b. abt 1842 Dublin, Ireland and Bridget BRACKEN b. abt 1842 Killoughy, Offaly, Ireland. They both came to Australia aboard the 'Erin-go-Bragh' which landed in Moreton Bay, Queensland in 1862. Bridget Bracken came as a passenger while Joseph (using his mother's maiden name of DOYLE) was a crew member. Joseph jumped ship in Moreton Bay and he and Bridget married 28 Sept 1862 in Brisbane. They had 11 children: Mary Ann b. 1863, d. 1898 Elizabeth Ann b. 1864, d. 1924 Sarah b. 1866, d. 1931 Alice b. 1868 d. 1870 Joseph b. 1870, d. 1951 William Patrick b. 1872, d. 1901 Denis b. 1875 d.1876 Alice b. 1877, d. ? John Dennis b. 1880, d. 1947 - (my maternal grandfather) Louisa Jane b. 1881, d. ? Edward James b. 1884, d. 1946

Hi,My g,g,g,g,grandfather was Bernard Cummins, b,1797. He was in "The Royal Irish Constabulary, enlisted in 1833. My problem is I cannot find anything on his parents, wife or when he died. I have a copy of his son, Thomas' (Mayor of Wagga, N.S.W. Australia), obit, this says that Thomas was the 3rd son of Bernard Cummins esq, of Kings County. I am looking for any link, or information, on relatives of James Thompson, d.o.b. 1809, place given as Mill Lane, Kings Co., Ireland. He enlisted with 19th Regiment of Foot, in 1827 and served for 12 years 9 months, which included service in West Indies, for the same regiment. He was discharged at Tullamore, in 1840. He married Margaret Regan / Ryan in 1840 or 1841. They had four daughters, in Ireland, before James enlisted with the N.Z.Fencibles, a force raised to defend that colony. They sailed on the vessel Sir Robert Sale, arriving in Auckland, on 11th October 1847. Two further children, were born to James & Margaret, after they arrived in New Zealand. James died in Auckland in 1861 of cholera.
