i am searching for details about my 5 great grand father, Andrew Shepherd who was born Arnold St. Mary's in 1736 and was married to an Elizabeth Bell and died in Arnold St. Mary's date unknown. He and his partner had children, Richard b 1762, Charles b 1765, Nancy Ann b 1766,William b 1768, Thomas b 1772,John b 1775, Elizabeth in 1777 and Jonathan b1779 and died in 1819. Charles married Mary Lin, Richard was married to a Mary Ellis

My great grandad was Reuben Marriott born 1898 in Derbyshire to Samuel Renshaw Marriott and Mary Riggott. Between 1902-05 his family moved to ARNOLD, where his father was from, and Reuben lived there until the 1940s or 50s. He married Eliza Smith in Arnold in 1922, she was the daughter of Charles Smith. In 1911, Samuel and Mary Marriott were at 46 St Albans Rd, Arnold with 5 children. Does this family ring a bell with anyone? They were coal miners.

My great-grandmother, Mary-Ann, 'Baguley' b. 1854 recorded her son, my grandfather's surname as Gilbert-Reid, b.1879 Upon her '2nd' marriage, she was recorded as a widow, but I cannot find trace of her '1st' marriage to a Reid. I have vague records of a 'George Gilbert' Mary-Ann marriage George Nayler and he apparently raised my grandfather, Harry, who carried the name of Nayler until an adult, where-upon he change his name to Reid. The Baguley Family from Woodborough, but Mary-Ann and Harry born Arnold. Can anyone help with more info.
