red mail Arthur Baty
I am anxious to find out more about my great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather Arthur Baty who was living in Simonburn when his son James was baptised there in 1705. Is there anyone called Baty still living in Simonburn today? Was the family at all strong at any time these last centuries? Are there mentions of the name on gravestones in the churches there? indeed has there been any mention of the name in local parish history? please help me. Arthur's grandson, also called James Baty, married Jane Coulson in Chollerton in 1754. Information on the Coulson family would be welcome too.
