Elizabeth Richardson
ELIZABETH RICHARDSON married ROBINSON MOSES COLLIN on April 12th, 1848 in the Parish Church in the Parish of All Saints. When they married, they resided in Heaten. Her father was WILLIAM RICHARDSON, a brewer by trade. She had two daughters prior to her marriage to ROBINSON COLLIN. Their names were ISABELLA FOSTER and DOROTHY ANN FOSTER (my great grandmother). ROBINSON, ELIZABETH and her two daughters emigrated to America in 1850. They settled in the area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. ROBINSON COLLIN grew up in Whickham, Durham. His parents are buried in the cemetery of St. Mary the Virgin, Whickham. I am trying to find information about ELIZABETH RICHARDSON and her father, WILLIAM RICHARDSON.
Robert James potts
I am trying to trace Robert, he was born illegitimately to an elizabeth on the 12/6/1907 Tynemouth, Northumberland. His mother is listed as a general servant, the address on the birth certificate as 1 Stephen street, east Hartford. Robert was brought up by a Samuel John and Sarah white, from the 1911 census. The address was 68 back park road, Blyth, Northumberland. He later lived in burgess hill Sussex and married a phoebe smith in cuckfield, March 1931. Robert served in the royal artillery in world war 2.

red mail Rendel Street & Chapel Court, Newcastle
Mary Armstrong was born in Oxhill, Durham in 1868 and had moved to Rendel Street, Newcastle with her family by 1881. William according to census records was born Newcastle or Kyo. Mary & William were the children of William and Sarah (Wilson) and had two siblings Jane & John who I have traced. I have no record of Mary after 1881 although William later lived at Chapel Court with his parents and possibly Blandford Street, Newcastle where if it is the correct William, he was lodging with a Sarah Jane Robinson.
Hamilton Street, Newcastle upon Tyne
In the 1911 Census the family I am researching lived in Hamilton Street, Newcastle. Would anyone know please if the name of this street changed as I can only find a Hamilton Terrace. Thank you.
red mail Elizabeth (Burrell?) wife of John Symonds
Hi, some fellow descendants and I are trying to find out more about this woman's life in Northumberland. We have the General Quarter Sessions for Northumberland records detailing that she was sentenced in 1813 to be transportation to Australia for 7 years for stealing a silk handkerchief. A Mary SYMONDS, perhaps her sister-in-law, was found not guilty at the same trial. Elizabeth travelled to Australia on the Broxbournebury in 1814 and was assigned to a recently widowed male convict, Isaac DOWSE or DOUSE, to help him look after his children. She became his replacement "wife" as well as nanny. Elizabeth and Isaac had four children together. We would love to know Elizabeth's maiden name but we are all in Australia which makes it difficult to research in Northumberland. There was an Elizabeth BURREL who married John SIMMONS at St John's, Newcastle, on 4 Mar 1798. This would have been in the right time frame. We have two baptism records from All Saints for daughters of this John and Elizabeth (Elizabeth 3 Mar 1799; Anne 8 Sept 1811) which describe the parents as "John SIMMONS, basketmaker, of Morpeth", and "Elizabeth, daughter of William BURRELL maltman of this parish". Her father William might have been born in Morpeth in 1751, then travelled to Eglingham where Elizabeth was baptised in 1772. Any help will be gratefully received as this has turned into a real dead end for us, which is especially frustrating as we have so much source material from the court appearance and later. Thanks, Geoff Turner.

My grandfather had several brothers - Harry Lewin b 1877, Benjamin Russell b1886, Leonard Cory b 1887 and one sister Margaret Bluebell b1890. Henry Rich Bradley was a wine merchant in Newcastle and worked as a journalist after the move to London. His father George Bradley b1816 was a Town Councillor and Newspaper Proprietor - I'd love to find out what newspaper it could have been. Sarah Lillian Creigh (b 1854 in Scotland) was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Creigh living in Elswick, Newcastle in 1871. She had five younger sisters Emily b1856, Annabella b1860, Margaret b 1862, Sarah B b 1866 and Ethel b1869. It's an unusual name but of course the girls probably all took their husbands' names when they married. I'd love to hear from any descendants. Creigh seems to be almost purely a Newcastle name.

According to 1891 and 1901 census Herbert was born in Doncaster about 1856. He first appears in the 1891 census in Newcastle upon Tyne. He was living with Henry Tate(Tait) and was the informant on the death certificate for Henry in 1903. In 1911 he was still in newcastle living with Henry's nieces. His full name is henry Wilson Edgcumbe and he died in Newcastle in 1922, he was a caretaker at Armstrong Ordnance Works. Could he have been adopted or illegitimate with a different surname?
Newcastle upon Tyne
Searching for any information on my Gt Grandmother Margery Ann Wilson. I know from the Census of 1901 that my Gt Grandparents William Wilson and Margery Ann Wilson were no longer living together as man and wife. William is shown on the 1901 living with Mary Ellen Wilson who is shown as his wife.My Grandfather William Herbert aged 7 is also living with them. I have searched and searched but have been unable to locate Margery Ann Wilson nee Ridley on the 1901 Census. I know ( from family) that William and Mary Ellen never married. Margery Ann died in 1907 in Newcastle Royal Infirmary following a fall. I was hoping someone out there may be able to help me and know where she was between the time my Grandfather was born in 1893 and 1907 when Margery died. I believe she may have been living under another name and maybe had further children. Any info would be very welcomed. Thanks

red mail Ellen Bruce (nee Hazel)
Ellen Hazel is my great aunt who was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1896. I never knew of her existance until I found her listed on the 1901 census. Nobody in the family ever spoke about her, so I assumed she had died in infancy, then I found she was also entered on 1911 census. I found a marriage entry for St Anns, Newcastle for 1916 to a William Richardson Bruce. I then discovered they had four children between 1919 and 1928. There the trail ended. I could not find a death entry. However, recently I have been in contact with a granddaughter of Ellen. She explained that her mother, Ellen's daughter was brought up by an aunt because Ellen had been admitted to a mental hospital. In an effort to protect her, the family told Ellen's daughter that her mother had died, but, in 1951, they told her her the truth about her mother because Ellen had really died. I sent for the only death certificate which seemed to match, but it turned out not to be her. I presume that patients who die in a mental hospital would have a death certificate issued? Is it possible she was sent to a hospital elsewhere in the country? Can anyone help? This has driven me mad for six years now.

red mail Frames living in Newcastle upon Tyne
My connection to the Frame family is through my mother May Robson Frame, born 1913 in Gosforth, Castle Ward. I have traced the family ancestry back to 1601 to Whickham, County Durham. That century is well documented but I have only sparse records for the 1900s. I would like to call on Frames from this family line to assist me with whatever information they may have to fill in the blanks. I am willing to share my information with them.
