William died in 1814 and Mary Anne in 1815 leaving behind 2 sons Walter William Wynne Stevens (my great, great grandfather) and Thomas Stevens. Joseph Palmer , born about 1823 in Wellingborough, moved to Manchester and became a Provision Dealer and Grocer.I can find him in Manchester on all the censuses from 1861 onwards, but not on either the 1841 or 1851 in any location. His father is also possibly called Joseph and is described as an Innkeeper on Joseph (the youngers) marriage certificate. They are my gg and ggg grandfathers. I presume the elder Joseph lived in Wellingborough at some point. Any info gratefully accepted! Anne.

He was listed as a bootfactor agent, his wife was Sarah 21, daughter Marion or Miriam 1 (bn l'pool), son Frederick 8 months (bn L'pool). Thank you.

I am searching for a family I am sure exists in Wellingborough. My great grandfather Alfred Wood married for the second time to Emma Robinson born Little Harrowden but lived in Wellingborough. Alfred came to live in Wellingborough late in the 1890's we think. We know he was baording at The Bees Wing public house on the 1901 census and that in the 1911 census he is listed as head of house with listed Emma and two young children as boarders. I have records of the marriage in Jun 1930 after Alfred had discovered the death of my great grandmother in Burton Latimer. Alfred died in 1946 in hospital we hold his death certificate here purchased last year. I have photos of my grandfather who may have resembled his father but none of Alfred. I would be very pleased to hear of anything connected to this family. other names are. Mabel Robinson b 1893 and Albert Frederick Robinson b 1898 who could have been Alfreds son. Mabel married George V Allen and they had a son Albert Geofrey allen b 1923 d 1995. George Allen is witness on my great grandfathers death certificate.
