Walter Lewis Afford born 1877 deserted from the RN in 1899 and no further records found. Walter George Afford born 1879 London , in 1906 married Eunice Martha Long at Swansea and I have been unable to find parents etc. After extensive research and by the process of elimination, I BELIEVE THESE TWO PEOPLE ARE ONE AND THE SAME. Can anyone confirm or deny this please. Your help would be very much appreciated. Jean

My ggggrandfather, Thomas Chapman was a gamekeeper at Lilford Lodge. He married Mary Humberstone about 1830 and their daughter Sarah was baptised at St. Peter's in 1831. They emigrated to the U.S. in 1832 along with his brothers, William, Benjamin and John. Any further information would be greatly appreciated. Renee

I am trying to trace the parents and any siblings of William Stevens, according to census records born Oundle 1820/21. No baptism recorded in Oundle or surrounding parishes 1817-23, nor any possible baptism in Rutland or Leicestershire. He married in Leicester in 1850, gave his father's name as John and his father's occupation as farmer, but this is not confirmed. His age on his death certificate and burial record puts his birth at 1816/17, but this too might not be accurate. I'd be grateful for any possible links.

Additional to our previous entry, and still searching for Isaiah we now know from a newspaper obituary in Australia that he was a confectioner in Oundle,probably early in 19th century or late 18th.C. Does anyone have any thoughts? The other possibility is that they spelt the name as Willson in England & changed to Wilson in Australia. Thanks

My father, Herbert Hull currently in Lives in Huntingdon with his wife. My dad had a half brother called John who unfortunately passed away. I am their only daughter and I am desperately seeking any form of contact with the family or friends of my Grandad, Percy Hull. 1866 West St, Oundle, 1871 New St, Oundle, William Green (b.1832) married to Alice (Nee Clarke)(b. ), children Cecil William (b. 8 Feb 1860), Charles Horace (b. 1861), Frederick Arthur (b. 1863) & Robert (b. 13 Aug 1866). A niece Alice Ridgeway (14) was also at the house during the 1871 census. Cecil William is my great-grandfather and I would welcome any info on the other brothers in the family or their off-spring as my line of the Greens will end with my generation as there are no more Green males to date.
Looking for information on William Hailey and his wife Elizabeth (Johnson?). Between 1814 and 1828 William worked in Oundle as a surgeon and they had seven children. They then moved to Bedfordshire where they had more children, but the last was born in Northants again in 1838. I believe Elizabeth's family came from Yorkshire.
