red mail Ellard families in Norton
Norton has one of the highest concentrations of Ellard family members, so I am surprised that so few references to that family in Norton can be found. My Mary Cross married Thomas Ellard (about 1855)after the death of her first husband. Her daughter by that first marriage, Sarah Miller (nee Cross), married David Miller from Belfast and whilst he was in the British Army in India, Sarah seems to have had a son by Thomas's nephew, Edmund Ellard, who then left Norton and moved on his own to Cannock. I would welcome any more information on the 'Ellards of Norton' please.
red mail Mark and Mary Rowley, of Norton, Northamptonshire
Mark Rowley born 1803(spelt Rawley on 1851 census) , married to Mary born 1805 Lamport or Brixworth, in Northants. We think Thomas Rowley born 1804, (married to Elizabeth)may be a brother to Mark?, but do not know what village they were born, or the parents they came from. We do not know what Mary's surname was, or how many children they had in total? We do think that they had a daughter Elizabeth born 1836 in Dodford, Northants, and a son George born in 1839 in Norton, Northants. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You
