John House (2 x great grandfather) - Listed as a male servant (1841) later becoming a market gardener, living at 70 West Street, next door to the rectory, in Kings Cliffe, Northants. In between, he was gardener/domestic assistant to Lincoln Archdeacon Henry Kaye Bonney, who from 1810 to 1862 was rector. His sons: 1. William Henry House = great grandfather. Known as Henry. At West Street, Kings Cliffe, Northants, in 1841 and 1851 censuses. Henry was a builder, (church) plumber and glazier, living in Peterborough in 1861. In Oundle, Northants, from 1865-1875. At 1871 census he lived at St O'Sythes Lane. Family in Peterborough in 1878 and until 1900. Listed as a plumber in 1881 at 8 Henry Street, and in 1891, with wife and nine 'children', at 23 Henry Street, Peterborough. Henry is believed to have died soon after a fall from scaffolding into the nave of the Cathedral, while working for John Thompson's - builders of Peterborough. Henrys brothers: 2. John House - Confectioner, nurseryman of Peterborough, dying in Kings Cliffe in 1914. 3. George House - Confectioner, brewer of Peterborough, dying in Kings Lynn in 1910 4. Alfred House - Carpenter of Peterborough dying in 1900. Are there any House relatives still living in the Peterborough area?
