Norfolk Archaeology, 3 (1852), 319-414. T. Barton, Notices of the town and parish of Watton. Starts with a letter from T Barton to Dawson Turner in flowery language. Watton does not contain "any stately monuments, peculiar manorial customs, richbrasses, stained glass, or ìivy-mantled towers". There follows various items about Watton. "Possesses amongst its muniments a very old Town-book, from which I have made copious extracts, relating particularly to that remarkable custom,'The Drinkyns'. Rest about manorial lords and the church, mainly its monuments". (The Town-book referred to is on microfilm in Norfolk Record Office.)
