red mail Waddelow / Colborn / Hume
My grandmother Mary Hume married my grandfather Kirby Colborn around 1926 in Sunderland, County Durham (now Tyne & Wear). I've traced Kirby's family back to 1700s but am stuck trying to find any further back. It looks like Kirby's parents came from Norfolk and Cambs and came to the North East for work in Newcastle/Sunderland via the shipyards and/or the mines. The census entries show that they weren't the only ones and streets show a mix of people born all over the country but settled in the North East. I'm a bit stuck around Martha Waddelow who married a Colborn, possibly James. She was born at the end of the 1700s. I really hope someone can help me or perhaps find a relative, exciting!

red mail Colborn family
I am trying to trace the Colborn family who lived in Walsoken in the mid 1880's. My ancestor Martha Waddelow was born (1795), and married William Colborn, at Southery. William Colborn was born (1777) and lived at Tholemas Drove. We believe he may have been married prior to his marriage to Martha. After the marriage they resided in Walsoken where I believe they raised their children. We believe the children were baptised at Walsoken Church. The children were named James, Eliza, Martha and George. I would dearly like some information regarding this family.
