I am researching these surnames in relation to residents of Saham Toney right back to the 1700s through to the present day is possible. Key names are Elizabeth Rudderham born 1848, William Rudderham, Thomas Rudderham, William Smith born 1840 in Garvestone but lived in Saham for most of his life. Elizabeth's family were Newtons and Feakes, notable Sophia Feakes Newton and William Feakes. William is from a long line of Smiths and his mother, originally from Mattishall burgh, married into the Gathercole family.
I am interested in these families, particularly connections with Susan Beales, my great great grandmother, born c 1829, her father John Bale, born c 1791 and his wife Susan Caller, born c 1788. Also my great great grandfather John Williams, born c 1850, married Catherine Crane 1875 and his father John Williams, born 1810, married Sarah Ann Ainger 1831. Any info would be most welcome.

Does anybodby know anything about the family of William and Kate Maria Bailey. Kate, who's madian name was Mealham, was one of the cousins of my great grandmother Alice. I know they had at least four children: Henry William (b 1889), Albert George (b 1891), Alfred Robert (b 1901) and Frederick Charles (b 1906). There is a large gap between some of the children, so some are probably missing. All the children were born in Saham Toney.

Landlord of Dolphin Inn Saham Toney 1868 until his death in 1872. Married Susannah Nelson 1860 and moved to London, returned to Norfolk and liived in Holme Hale where he busily raised children but seemingly little else until he took over Dolphin Inn. Any info on the "indolence years" would be appreciated.

The two daughters of Sidney John Hill, a farmer, married from this address in S.T. Gladys Muriel Caroline Hill (b.1903, Sheringham) married a local farmer, Francis James Faulkner in 1931. Her sister, Winifred Grace May Hill (b. 1905),married Arthur Charles Cook in 1938 in Swaffham. We have a long family tree for these sisters.
