red mail MAYS or MAYES of Felthorpe, early 19th C
Does anyone have access to the parish registers (or transcripts thereof) for Felthorpe from 1812 to 1837? If so, I'm hoping you will be willing to consult the records for any references to the above surname (the family were not native to the parish; they originally came from Horsham St. Faith and prior to that Norwich). I am particularly seeking:- the marriage of Edmund Fiddy MAYS and his wife Prudence TOWNSEND, prior to July 1837 and probably circa 1835-1837 the christening of the above Edmund Fiddy MAYS circa 1817 the christenings of any children to the couple, including William, ca 1837; Mary circa 1839; Robert circa 1842; John (born 22 May 1843) & Harriet Sophia, born 1845. There may be more born prior to 1856. After Harriet's birth, and by mid-1856, the family moved in the Lambeth district of Surrey. If Edmund's christening record is found, I would also appreciate any christening details for any siblings also christened there, and for the burials of his parents. His father's name may have been William or Robert. If anyone is interested in the family details I have so far for the MAYS and TOWNSEND families, I will be pleased to share them. I am happy to do some reciprocal research in exchange for the information we need.
