John McKenzie married Isabella Gault in Cummingston on 18/06/1845 (cannot verify it!). He was a quarryman. They lived in Hopeman. John McKenzie was born in Ireland, son of a soldier. I cannot get any further back with the McKenzies. Can anybody help?
red mail grandparents
My grandparents were George and Annabella Simpson who ran the post office/shop on Harbour Street on the left facing the sea, back around the time of WW 1. Their only child was Margaret Stuart Simpson, my mother, and I would like any news or information at all of the family or the shop/post office today.
