Their first two children were born in Newtown: Martha Vaughan b 1832 and Jane Vaughan b 1835, then the family moved to Wolverhampton, England. I am researching the origins of Philip Henry Jones, born in Newtown, Montgomeryshire in September 1840. His parents are Philip Jones, grocer and his mother was Ann Powell. Philip Jones and Ann Powell married in August 1839 in Newtown. Philip Henry Jones became a hosier and draper by profession and in 1871 married Jessie Maria Halfyard (herself born in Topsham, Devon, in 1843). The marriage took place in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. By this time Philip H Jones was settled in Oswestry, Shropshire. Philip and Jessie Jones had several children, the first of whom was Ada Mary Jones, born in 1872 in Oswestry. Any information regarding Philip Henry Jones ancestors and siblings would be most appreciated.

I am trying to find more details about my great great grandfather, David Lloyd, who was born in Newtown either 1832 or 1833. He died in Burmingham in June 1895. I know he live in Burmingham from 1857. He married mary Boulter and they had 11 children, one of which was my great grandfather, Robert Lloyd who migrated here to Australia. That is the extent of what I know about him and I would love to know more, especially knowledge of his parents Any info would be greatly appreciated, thamkyou.

We are looking for information on Mary Clayton, born in Newtown, Montgomeryshire between 1838 and 1840. She married John Jones of Llandinam in the Baptist Chapel in Newtown on September 12, 1868. She eventually moved to Wisconsin the US and lived until 1893. Her birthplace is listed as Coedydinas, Newtown on her birth certificate and her father is listed as John Clayton. That is about all we know. Any information on her life in Wales (mother's name, siblings, etc.) is appreciated.
